Loving restoration of a 19th century mansard
This complete renovation of an 1850’s Cambridge mansard featured extensive interior millwork and trim work, coffered ceilings, a kitchen / great room with custom herringbone Rumsford fireplace, a walnut library, a round, two-story sitting room, and a paneled billiards and playroom. Outdoors, the new fieldstone walls, terrace, and plantings nestle the house into a generous Cambridge site. Copper and slate roofs on the addition complement the exiting mansard structure of the main house.
