This new home was built on a large site set back off of a main street in Hingham. Previously the site of a collapsing Royal Barry Willis cape, the clients wanted to keep to simple New England forms, while moving the overall feel of the home in a more modern direction. The exterior consists of 5 simple building shapes – three attached and two free standing – clad in cedar shingles, shiplap siding, New England filed stone, and standing seam metal roofs. The interior features a wide-open modern floor plan, monochromatic color scheme, an open riser steel staircase, and a poured concrete fireplace.
