Situated on a small ridge overlooking the Westport River a clever interior designer and architect team repurposed a drafty, leaking cottage and a dilapidated garage into a renovated studio and expanded house. The space includes a new work studio with guest quarters above, and a boardwalk linking the studio to the main house. This collaboration, integrating inside and outside beauty by taking full advantage of the stunning views in all directions including the sunrise over the river and the sun setting in the western meadow. The property and buildings retain the casual pace of the Westport river cottages, but with a subtly integrated contemporary touch.
